This course is specifically designed for primary and secondary teaching and non-teaching staff and for parents/carers of both victims of bullying and bullies.

The training course is based on the different Bullying Awareness and Prevention courses I’ve taken, on my 15-year experience as an educator, on my experience of having promoted Bullying Awareness and Prevention and personally supported victims of bullying at my former school. The training course is also based on my own experience of being bullied, on my observations and research and on the Anti-Bullying survey that I’d conducted in June 2022 on Facebook. I’m an Associate Member of the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) which is a UK organisation promoting Bullying Awareness and Prevention in schools.

The training course, which is in a PowerPoint presentation format, lasts about 3.5 hours and is delivered in French. Its objectives are as follows:

1. Définir le harcèlement et différencier entre ses différentes formes.
2. Comprendre les raisons qui expliqueraient le comportement de l’enfant qui persécute.
3. Comprendre l’impact du harcèlement sur les victimes.
4. Prendre conscience de la réalité du harcèlement scolaire à Maurice. (Basée sur un sondage effectué sur Facebook en juin 2022).
5. Prendre connaissance des différents articles de la loi à Maurice condamnant le harcèlement scolaire.
6. Prendre connaissance des différentes mesures pour combattre et prévenir le harcèlement scolaire.
7. Etre empowered en tant que parent si mon enfant en est/a été une victime ou si mon enfant persécuté/a persécuté son prochain.
8. Etre résilient face au harcèlement scolaire.
